Hubby found this little guy wandering on the side of the highway that he takes to school. He almost ran him over. He said he seemed a little hesitant to come to him but once he picked him up it was all kisses and cuddles, even though he did scream the whole way home. He drove up and down the highway looking for other pups but didn't find even another dog out there. Hubby took him to the vet on the way home (he decided to ditch school instead of leaving him in the car all day). No microchip and our vet thinks he's about 6-7 weeks old and he's 10lbs. Valkyrie is a natural momma to him, he loves to cuddle with her and runs to her when Demon gets too rough with him. We made up vague posters about finding a puppy but are silently hoping that no one will claim him.

Glad he stopped and picked him up! Such a cutie. Maybe its meant to be.

He's so cute! I'm glad I do not find stray/stranded pets cause I would have a hard time relinquishing them over. Honestly, if he did belong to someone, how irresponsible for losing a 6-7 week old pup! It's not like they bolt out the door like older huskies. I think this pup is better off with you.

I've heard so many stories like this. I'm pretty sure most of Arooroomom's dogs have been found in just the same way. Congratulations! I secretly hope no one claims him either, but thank you for rescuing him!

I hope this was one of those special things that was meant to be...I mean really, how can you accidentally lose a puppy that young...and on the side of the highway no less? With everything going on with Kyrie I wouldn't be one bit surprised if this was one of those weird things that was truly a "gift" that was meant to be. Weird how things work out and I too hope no one claims him. I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason...

Hubby's already named him Loki, bought him a collar, and set up an appointment for him to get him scheduled for his shots. So I can say he's most likely staying. We've received a dozen phone calls but most of the people calling ask if he's a lab or pitty pup. The occasional husky answer can't accurately guess his eye color/coat color/markings. DH says he's going to give it a week then take down the posters and we'll keep him.

I would say take down the posters NOWWW (LOL), but then I put myself in the "owners" place and yeah leave them up for another week. Even though I doubt the "owner" is looking for him!

Awww. So darn cute. He is one lucky pup finding you guys. I completely agree with Val. I am a true believer that everything happens for a reason. I really hope you get to keep him.
