Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| I actually had a dream about dog nutrition. I dreamed I was in the car with my mom and my grandma, they were in the front seats and I was in the back. My mom was telling my grandma about how she had just started feeding her dogs this new and really great food, and she was...saying something about how like it had this specific ingredient that had to do with deer that made it super attractive to dogs, like I guess the smell? And the dogs were like soooo in love with this food, they would practically inhale it. I dunno, that part of the dream is fuzzy, but I clearly remember saying "No mom! Lots of not-so-good foods have some coating or scent that makes dogs want to eat it, that doesn't mean its good for them! What you need to look for is meat being the main ingredient, and you need to make sure it is high in meat protein and not plant protein, and it has no by-products or other crap." and I don't know how (meant to post this this morning after waking up but I forgot and now I am having trouble remembering this part) but I knew this new food was Royal Canin so then I said "At least Royal Canin is a little better than Iams but its still only 3 stars!" because she feeds them Iams, and I have done lots of browsing on dogfoodadvisor.com and Royal Canin really is only 3 stars and Iams is 2 stars, lol. And I rarely remember my dreams and this one was so vivid, I thought it was real until I woke up! I feel like such a dog nerd XD |

| I've had dreams about raw feeding when I first started doing it..lol. Speaking of dreams...I had a super weird one last night, but I don't remember it all now. All I know is that I was dreaming about this hill that a lot of dry patches on it and hubby wanted to go take the dogs there for a walk and I kept telling him no because the patches were bad for them or something. I even woke him up talking about it in my sleep..lol |
