I just received notification from MUSHR on this earlier in the morning. Very happy that they are stepping up rescuing a number of the Sibes. Given that we are only a couple blocks away from the vet they are based out of, I'd imagine that we will be helping them out any way we can.

Any updates on this?

Sounds like the 18 Sibes that were heading to MUSHR including 8 pregnant females have already been moved to a different location...

Yeah 10 of the dogs went to Adopt a Husky and the rest were all spread out to shelters in Wisconsin.

All the dogs got groomed yesterday, only 2 had partial shaving due to such bad matting that it caused them to have skin problems.

If I were nearby I'd try fostering one or help in some other way...poor babies.

If there is anyway they could be brought to Florida I'd love to take one in or one of the puppies that the pregnant mothers will be having. I could see about adopting one I have some family that live in Green Bay so I could also ask if they'd like to adopt or even donate this is awful. But I believe they have there's coming to them that is for sure. If anyone gets anymore info please let me know thank you very much

Ha...I'd love to foster one of the expecting mothers too, but highly doubt they'd ship them down to FL. Too bad. I'd helped out with an aussie rescue welping 7 puppies last year, so I have some experience.

I would love to foster one of the pregnant females, but my boyfriend isn't comfortable whelping a litter in our house..

Right now they're okay on foster homes. We were supposed to foster for MUSHR but then Adopt a Husky stepped in and took a bunch of dogs, we might foster through them though.,

So I just got off the phone with MUSHR they're really confused as to why Fond Du Lac isn't giving them dogs. They called the animal shelters that took some of the dogs, who said they didn't even have the room for the dogs.. MUSHR said they're gonna try and take 6, 3 from each shelter. So they're still looking for foster homes. They're gonna do cat assessment tests.with the huskies when they get them and if there's a cat friendly husky well be fostering.

SHCA Trust just donated $500 to Fond Du Lac. Now I hope they get things straightened out with sibe rescue!

Who have you been speaking with over at MUSHR? I might give them a shout either today or early next week. I guess Emily could walk over to the vet this afternoon, since United Way let's their employees do half day Friday's during the warmer months.

With Brewer's separation anxiety and our extremely busy spring and summer schedule, we really aren't in the position to take chances on a foster.

With that said, if MUSHR takes in six sibes, I will undoubtedly help them with food, funds, and socializing.

I don't recall her name, not sure if she even said it. Yeah MUSHR is really frustrated over this situation and the way the Fond Du Lac shelter is handling it.

I definitely can't speak for MUSHR, but I'd imagine their frustration revolves around having found resources for taking in 18 Sibes and not one rescue was going to be allocated to them. Needless to say, they are very passionate when it comes to their Sibes!

Let me know if hear back from them, and I will do the same. I told Emily to swing by and talk to Jessica at the vet, so I should have an update later this evening.
