So Dakota started coughing this morning...didn't think anything of it. Hubby came home this morning to pick up something he forgot and said she was still coughing, and expressing clear liquid. I get home from work and she's still coughing, expressing clear liquid with sometimes white foamy stuff.

She's eating fine and not acting abnormal but to be safe I'm taking her to the vet tomorrow. Poor girl.

Hope she's OK! Mya was coughing, having heaving attacks, and would throw up bile every once in a while about 2 years ago. She had a cold. They gave her antibiotics and she was back to normal in a day or two.

Honestly, it sounds like an upper respiratory infection. Get into that vet, but I am willing to bet you will be sent home with antibiotics.

I'm hoping that's all it is. I'm also hoping I get some sleep tonight. Can't afford the Emergency Vet but we'll be heading to the regular vet first thing.

emergency vet prices are insane - i had to pay them for Delilah. Just keep an eye on her , I would set an alarm for every couple of horus to check on her, But, that's just me.

Sounds like a upper respiratory infection Kerian had some problems with a respiratory infection shortly after we got her she was put on antibiotics for 10 days got better in a few days. Do watch Demon to make sure he doesn't show any signs these things seem to be contagious.

So it is an upper respiratory infection, poor girl . And it was a very sleepless night, but on the bright side, she's got drugs now. lol Demon's not showing any symptoms but I took him with me to the vet's just to be sure. If he starts showing signs like coughing, all I have to do is call the vet to get the antibiotics.

I would keep Dakota away from other dogs of course you can't keep Dakota away from Demon. I always feel guilty if other dogs catch something from mine.

Luckily, like most people here, I know when my babies aren't themselves. When she didn't want to get up to go potty before bed, plus the coughing I knew something was up. Between the antibiotics and cough suppressant, hopefully everyone will sleep better tonight.
