It was an accident here! We went in to animal control to look at this beautiful GSD they had just got in. We never got that far! We found Mickey and fell in love. After having him home for a few weeks we soon realized he was no "Chow mix" and fell in love with the Husky breed. Despite his selective hearing, trash loving, couch eating, blind ripping habits... LOL

I grew up always having multi dogs at once. Mostly GSDs. When I moved in with my boyfriend (now hubby) we immediately starting talking about getting a dog. He had never had a dog and always wanted a husky. Spent 2 days searching, ran across the ad for two blk/wht female pups, rushed to see them, and boom we got Mya. When I was little all I did was watch movies with huskies in them! I fell in love with how beautiful they were and that they liked to "talk" to you. As I grew, I started doing research on the breed and fell in love with their independent, clown-ish, and mischievous personalities I love how active they are, how versatile they are, and how super friendly they are. My first husky, Diesel, sold me on the breed after I researched for years. Diesel is now gone But I have my two boys, Indy and Rebel and I will never own another breed

To tell you all the truth, I never wanted a malamute or husky. They never appealed to me. I was a huge dog lover but never wanted to own one. I actually wanted another border collie or an aussie. I grew up with them, My husband wanted a husky or mal. We decided to go with a malamute. I can tell you I love my malamutes. I don't think I will own a husky even though I have pet sit and worked with husky rescues.

The breeder showed us all the pups and Thane appeared to be the most adventurous. When the breeder was collecting them to put them back in the pen Thane sat on my feet and gave the breeder the "this one is mine!" look.

It became very clear to me that I must have him.
