| My house backs onto an ally way that people walk through. If frya is outside or in the laundry where she can hear them she will bark a really loud deep bark. Her hackles go up on her back nad she wont stop until the sound of the people are gone. If on the recieving ewnd you wouldnt think she's a 4 month old puppy by the sound of her bark.
As I've never owned a husky before I dont know if this is normal behaviour, or if it is coming from her mastiff side. I do know the mastiffs are protection dogs. I dont know if this is what she's doing or if she's just being a loud barking puppy. She doesnt bark at much else. She wont bark at people coming to the door. She's more likely to get excited and lick them to death.
She also doesnt howl, or talk much except after she has a stretch where she makes thies 'arrgh arrgh' sound.
She's also coming up for 16 weeks and is (11kg) 24lb. I am feeding her Holistic Select and her poos are well formed and firm. I was wondering what the average weight for a 4 month old female would be.
Thanks everyone. |

| From what I have experienced, it is not normal behavior for my huskies. However, my parents use to deal with it a lot in the schnauzers they breed. (Small kennel) perhaps its the bull mastiff in her, correct em if I am wrong, but I believe you mentioned that previously. |

| Hello. My husky never barks. She does howl and whine a bit. I've. Heard other huskys are far more vocal with the howling and talking. I wish my girl talked more! As for protecting I think I would notice something unusual before she would. I think they are all a little different in these areas. Your furbabies are adorable! |

| Balon will do this weird growly talky kinda of thing when someone he doesn't know comes into my house. He goes right up to the person (I believe he is alpha dog) and lets himself be pet all the while doing the weird growly barky thing |

| My two don't bark, but Finnick likes to 'talk' to strangers. When new people come over he prances over to them and talks until he is acknowledged....and he is persistent about it lol |

| Haha, she might just be yelling at them for some attention! |

| She gets pleanty of attention. She's only outside for potty breaks consisting of about 10-15 minutes each break, and when my boys are out there with her.
Other than these times she is inside with us the whole day. She is played with she is taken on walks and to the park, she is thrown the ball to chase. She is far from attention deprived.
If she was wanting attention from them why would she browl with the barks and her hackles be up? |
