Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! | So as you guys know Finnick (Now Shadow) was rehomed a few weeks ago. He lives on a farm and has been doing SO great with his new family. He was bitten by a pretty nasty rattlesnake a few days ago. His new mom called to tell me he was going to be ok and was given some anti-venom along with other meds to help him out. The emergecy vet said this is about the dozenth time he has seen rattlesnake bites this year and not all dogs are lucky enough to survive. This little guy seems to be a pretty tough fighter though! His muzzle was swollen and reached 21 inches around at its worst. Thankfully the snake has been captured and killed. I can't imagine having something like that around my house!! Here are some pictures: Right after the bite A few days later The Snake |

| Holy crap! That's a pretty good sized Eastern Diamondback, Finnick is really lucky! Glad to hear he's going to be ok, and I am super paranoid about that happening to one of our dogs. We get several different species of rattlesnakes around here. _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | It was just over 6ft long. My thought process is...if there was one, there is bound to be 100 more! I am not a big fan of snakes at all...and would probably freak out if i ever had to deal with something like that!

| Poor boy! Glad he pulled through! I like snakes and hate seeing them killed though. I've only seen one other diamondback that size. _________________ -Sara |

No, it actually took a few days to find it, then they shot it with a bow and arrow. I dont think they are going to let him out of their site now. |
