| just a few min ago about 945 pm our back yard was invaded by 4 raccoons. Luckely Dakota was inside, but man did he put up a huge fit on our side of the glass door. The raccoons on the other hand couldn't have cared less. They went about their buisness stealing the remains of his dinner. He was making so much noise i decided to shoo them off before he woke up the neigborhood. Banging on the door did nothing and neither did his barking so i figured if i started to open the door they would go . Ha ha you should have seen them skedattle as a 30 pound husky came tearing out of the house barking up a storm. right now he's patrolling the back yard fence line to make sure they don't come back lol I can see them sitting in the trees waiting for him to go back inside. I have since removed the food and will now make sure when he is done eating to pick it up so this doesn't happen again. It's a bit dark but here is one of the bold theives |

| Adorable until they spread their rabies, fleas, and lord knows what. Be sure to clean Dakota's food and water dishes well. |

Very cute animals, but Len is right. They carry a roundworm that's larvae can migrate into your eyes, organs, or brain. It is capable of infecting people and dogs. Scary thing is, more than 50% of wild raccoons have this parasite. I would check your yard for any raccoon poop. I have a big raccoon problem in my yard due to stupid neighbours feeding them. We now trap and relocate them. Here is a website if you want to know more about it. http://www.cdc.gov/parasites/baylisascaris/index.html |
