| I'm so bummed. We were asked not to bring Lola back to daycare as she started a fight today. This is the third time in 4 months she's been in a fight and it appears that she starts them. She doesn't do well with the large groups they have there. I'm blessed because Jim is off work the next 3 days so it gives me time to figure something else out. There are two days a week that I leave at 7:30am and get home at 3:30pm. The other days I work, she would be crated about 3 hours. 2 1/2 hours is the best she has done thus far in a crate. So I'm going to look into some training options, dog walkers and a daycare that does training. I feel horrible because she broke the skin of another dog. I'm frustrated because she has been doing really well at day care and does not have anxiety on leash. I guess day care is not the solution for every dog...

Some dogs just don't do well in day care, you're right. Sorry to hear this, but I'm sure you'll find something that works for your family and Lola! Good luck _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand.

If you can't figure out another option right away, I'd ask the daycare if they mind keeping her, but just crating her away from the other dogs. At least then she could be let out every few hours to go potty. That's what we do with dog aggressive dogs at the daycare I work at. It is annoying to have those "special" cases, but is do-able. You could just ask and see what they say. They may or may not be set up like the one I work at. _________________ -Sara

They recommended me to a daycare that has a smaller amount of dogs and with a training staff. I spoke to them this evening and we are going to try them once her puppy wart goes away. I'm emailing a trainer that lives in my neighborhood to do some private lessons and dog walks on Tuesday and Thursday.

Are there daycares around that don't have doggy group time? None of the doggy daycares around me have group dog playtime because of safety/insurance or whatever. (Kind of sucks, but Phantom is mean to other dogs so maybe it's for the best.) They all get a lot of walks and attention from the owners especially if they are cuties (like huskies!). Just an option to look into.

Yeah I'd look into a smaller daycare for sure. Mine all go to daycare, and the lady loves them because they're the best behaved dogs there, which blows my mind but everyone that meets them just compliments me on their behavior (which I think needs major work half the time ) The daycare mine go never usually has more then 20 dogs, it's a giant garage warehouse and they open the garage door out into the fenced yard. They also have a second floor in the playroom for smaller dogs when they have more then the first floor has room for. She never usually has issues with any dogs, and if there are, she made a room in the playroom for time outs. Apparently Zoey has spent some time there. She gets growly over her balls
