| What is your favorite thing to stuff a Kong with? I'm trying to get some ideas to give Roxy some variety to keep her interested in the Kong.
Thanks. |

| I mix canned pumpkin and plain yogurt, fill the kong, cap the ends with peanut butter and then freeze it. Ghost goes insane for those. _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | I stuff mine with wet dog food (Usually Purina, but sometimes I spring for more expensive ones), along with some kibbles, and some milkbones.
This is how I stuff it (in a large Kong):
1. Put in about 2 fork-fulls worth of the wet food in. 2. Put some kibble in, only a little to cover up the wet food. 3. Put more wet food in. 4. Mix them up and crunch up the kibbles with a fork or a spoon. 5. Put more kibble, compress them. 6. More wet food, more compressing. 7. When its a little over half way full, I crunch up milkbones (or split them into quarters/halves) and jam them in. I make sure to literally jam them against the sides and the sides by the opening of the KONG, as this makes it harder to get them out. 8. Add a little more kibble, compress. 9. Fill the rest up with wet dog food until it is flush with the opening, compress. 10. Put in freezer for a few hours (or overnight), until everything is solid. 11. Give to dog while it is completely frozen.
When I do it that way, it takes Suka around 1 - 2 hours to finish it. But sometimes he gives up when he gets near the end, so I have to bang it on the ground to loosen up the pieces a little bit. |

| Peanut butter, apples/bananas, applesauce, baby food, yogurt. Not all mixed together but that's mainly our variety. I always freeze because it lasts longer. |

| Peanut butter, apple sauce, apples, bananas, pumpkin, yogurt, blue berries. I also freeze it. I usually cap the end with a treat and peanut butter to secure the treat. Haha. You can use a sandwich baggie, cutting off the tip to fill the Kong without as much mess. |

| Now how about cleaning it? It took me about 5 minutes of running hot water through it and me picking the remains out. There's gotta be a quicker way, right? |

| I haven't figured out cleaning yet. Dishwasher is useless. I might try one of the bottle brushes... Also from the baby aisle... I live in that aisle. For a dog.
Eventually your dog will take care of everything inside. Eventually. |

| I put some dish soap in a cup that will hold the kong, run water in it and let it soak overnight. That usually loosens the peanut buter enough to rinse it out. I didn't find that a bottle cleaner did very much, but I'm also really impatient and can't stand touch wet food...haha
I usually run it through the dishwasher once a week or so to make sure it's really clean. |

| I usually just use my finger with the Kong submerged in water and rub until all the peanut butter is out. Then if I'm ready to use the dishwasher I throw it in there. |
