2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Hey all you Husky owners, I've been reading threads on this forum for a few days now and I have to say, this place looks really great! You remind me of an old forum I used to go on a lot. Smile

I guess I should start by saying, I don't own any Siberian Huskies. I have some very special dogs called LABRADOR Huskies, and as you will see if you click the link, NO, they are not a mixed breed.

I'm curious if any of you have heard of them before? They're fairly rare and not recognized by any dog clubs (that I'm aware of.)

But, from what I read about Siberians and what I KNOW about my dogs, there are enough similarities for me to be here with all you folks. x3

I also have German Shepherds! I've always had some kind of dogs in my life, when I was a kid it was Chihuahuas and since then my dog breeds have been getting bigger and bigger. LOL

I had a St. Bernard rescue for a couple of months and that sure was a handful.

ANYWAY! I don't mean to ramble! I just want to say that I've had a lot to do with dogs and I'm very interested in their psychology and training and all that neat stuff. Annd that is why I'm here.

So Hello to all you nice people and your beautiful dogs!

I read about them recently actually, I'm surprised to find someone who owns one so soon after looking them up Smile. I'm new here too and I can sure say this place has given me a lot of insight and information you usually can't find in a book.

Welcome to the forum! We have people on here who don't at present own a Siberian but just enjoy the breeder or are looking into the breed but own or have owned other dogs! We accept all here Smile.

I know of the Labrador Husky Smile

Thanks all!

They really are terrific dogs, but it sad that they are so unknown by most people. (Usually people say, Labrador Husky? Oh yeah my friend had one of those, i love mix breeds! At which point my face hits keyboard.)

So far I've never met another owner, even though I searched around online for info, breeders, ANYTHING. So far the most I can find out about them is what I found on wiki.

I think there is a member that just did a post about them recently. His dog is a rescue and it might be the type of husky you mentioned

Oh my, I quite like what I just read about them, they are super cute, too. I have all these totally unrealistic but lavish plans of having a sled dog team made up of huskies and other northern bred dogs and I feel like this breed would fit right on in. I can't wait to see pictures of your dog!

OH? Who is this member, I think I'd like to look in on that lol.

I do have TONS of pictures of my huskies and of their puppies, I just need to find time to upload some. XD In the mean time I've having fun reading what everyone on this forum has to say about different husky issues.

BY THE WAY! I found this pretty fantastic website that explains husky coloring and genetics, I dunno if its already been posted here some where but it's a pretty awesome site and I'd like to share. Very Happy
