Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| Subject: Logan's Potty Training Thu Feb 21, 2013 7:13 pm | |
| So were having a tough time with little Logan's potty training he is liable to go anytime and anywhere , even after maybe 2 or 3 pee's outside he could come in and do a pee after only a few short mins.
whats worse is he is doing it in his crate even in daytime after only 10 mins in there sometimes, now I usually only put a small section of vet-bed in the dogs crate and newspaper in the remainder but tonight I think I will leave the paper out as he was being trained to paper at the breeders.
we take him out very regular and anytime theres any indication of the urge, during the night we are taking him out to toilet every 2- 2.5 hours, and when he does go outside he gets praised like he laid a golden egg & treats too. I have also cleaned the spots where he has pee'd with a cleaning agent used by the daycare Arya attends.
Its like he has zero bladder control, I know males are harder than females but Arya had a total of like 3/4 accidents, oh and he is a Mal so possibly slower developers.
He is eating and drinking no problem and we did investigate a UTI, I guess we will have to keep working with him and he is very young. There was a slight improvement today, please don't get me wrong I expect plenty of accidents just having a rant is all. |

| Im by far not an expert and maybe im just lucky. i read that if he pees and you dont see him do it dont punish him because he wont understand and to clean it when he cant see. if u catch him in the act shout no in a stern voice and run to the door and then praise him with a treat. we followed these and only yime he pees inside after 3 weeks is on puppy pads |
