2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. I'd like to add too:

Wellness CORE is an entire line of high quality, less expensive, grain-free kibble that also offers a puppy formula. You can find this line at PetCo and PetSmart. It was about $50 for a 26lb bag. I used to feed CORE along with Orijen, Acana, and Innova EVO, but the latter 3 were like $80 a bag. The Wellness CORE kibble was a miracle worker when my dogs had the runs. Their stool would literally solidify overnight and stay solid, almost hard, on CORE. I would blend it with the other kibbles, which are all very protein-rich. They never got the runs again. Wellness offers a regular line as well, but it's not grain-free, and it gave my dogs bad runs when I first got them, so I would avoid Wellness and just stick with Wellness CORE. Our dogs have been on a raw diet now for 4 years, once I was able to figure out how to feed raw cheaper than kibble per lb. But I remember CORE being a really amazing food and I still recommend it to those who feed kibble! And I just noticed that they've added a Wild Game (Duck, Wild Boar, Rabbit) forumla to their Puppy, Reduced Fat, Ocean and Original formulas. They also have a small breed and large breed formula. All of this is new to me. I'm looking on their website. When we fed CORE, we had like 3 options. Ha!

Hope that helps anyone/everyone!

Kevin, how long ago did you feed CORE? I ask because I used to feed it years ago with excellent results up until they sold out and changed manufacturers. After the manufacturer change my dogs who used to do amazing on CORE suddenly had nonstop diarrhea and I stopped feeding it since then and refuse to recommend it anymore. Only reason I mention that is because the quality of foods change over time and I wasn't sure if you've had more recent experience with the foods you recommend.

It was 3 to 4 years ago. When did they switch? I'm feeding raw now and don't plan on ever going back to kibble unless there's some crazy emergency, so I haven't been keeping up with all of the kibble world changes. Ha!

Hmm, it was right around that time actually. I think it may have been late 2009, which is about 4 years ago. The kibble consistency and texture noticeably changed so I knew when I had gotten a bag of the "new" kibble from the lower quality manufacturer.

Loki did not do good on wellness core. TOTW has been great for him both his appetite and solid stool. Still looking into raw diet though as my female is not doing good with her food.
