Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

I forgot if I actually made one before? Ugh. Well, I had this account for almost a year, and I started lurking around before I actually got my husky, to make sure I was well educated before I actually got him. Then when I did get him, I had no time to post anything XD I had my hands full. Now hes about 8 1/2 months, almost nine. So I thought I would share some videos and pictures of his growth Smile Hope you all enjoy!

Not sure if you can see the picture? I havnt done this in a while okay? Cut me some slack. If you can see the picture, great, its when he was 4 weeks old, and I had picked him out. The next is when I actually got to take him home.

The first one you can click to enlarge it. That was him at 8 weeks. The next is him around 9 I believe.
The next pictures will be him around 8-10 weeks old.

If I get a few comments, ill put a lot more up. But I rather not go crazy and post all the pictures if no one bothers, ya know?

Btw guys, random question for whoever wants to, or bothers to answer. ((Im so annoying, I know)) So, Nanuq is about, lets say 9 months. How old until I switch to Adult food? I have asked a few people, and they all give me different answers. Some say 9 months is fine to switch. Others say wait after hes a year old, and one person even told me that he didnt switch his dog until she was 2. Should I start now? Or just wait it out.

ive heard 8months to 1.5 years from various people, ive always swapped my dogs around a year, i also know people who have let their dogs eat adult food most of their life and never had a problem with their dogs growth or size.

Some people feed puppy up until 1 year, some feed all life stages food, some skip puppy altogether and just feed adult. I think it's more of a preference for what works for you and your pup. I still have my 6 month old on puppy food, but I plan on transitioning him into an all life stages food in the next couple of months.

You can switch now. There is no right or wrong as long as your dog is healthy, it is up to you when you want to switch to adult food. I personally never fed puppy food. I transitioned her from the all life stages kibble my breeder gave me to raw within a week or so.
