| Yaaaay!!! Love it! Glad she's been so good (relatively speaking) so far! I sure hope my vet in town is good. I read a lot of good reviews and did my research so I hope we have a good first experience there. |

| Oh my god, she is so stinking cute!
I used the AHVMA website to find our holistic vet here in MD, looks like there are 4 in ME:

| Cortnie, when I was looking at Holistic vets, they had an awesome one in Augusta, that had rave reviews from everyone. They are mostly homeopathic, but also mix in conventional when needed, and I always thought that was important, at least for my peace of mind. I would check that one out if you can, if its not to far. I will try to find the name. Mine is in Belfast, but if I remember correctly, that's a little far from you.
And she is so cute! It looks like she has made herself right at home! |

| Augusta is a little over an hour from me. There are closer ones in Yarmouth and Windham, which is still about a 45 minute drive. Bleh |

Yeah, I have to drive a little over an hour to mine. Which isn't that bad because now that mine are older, we don't go often but for a puppy that might be pretty hard. It does suck though, everything is so spread out here! Its very weird to me that the major cities don't have holistic vets and all these out of the way places do! |

She was pushing vaccinations I said I didn't want, the Vectra, certain foods (I transitioned her to Fromm from what the breeder was feeding) and she was just really obnoxious! Ok so here's an update: Caoimhe has been home for 4 days now, and mostly she's doing great! She's had a few accidents, that were mostly the result of her not getting outside in time. We've been working on "sit" and she has it down about 90% of the time. Now we're working on "down". She's been ok with the crate# I gave her a pig ear and she didn't even realize the door was shut for a good 10 minutes# When we walk into the room she will settle down almost immediately and then we let her out# So far she loves her balls and her pigs ear the most, as well as her rope toy# Doesn't seem to be a fan of rubber bones at all# I'm going to freeze some peanut butter in her kong and see how that goes over# As far as eating goes, I'm not sure if she doesn't like the Fromm puppy or what, but she's been leaving part of her breakfast and dinner for the past day# We mixed it in with the Diamond Naturals she was being fed and at first she was scarfing everything down, but then last night didn't finish her dinner and this morning left some of her bfast# She's been getting 1/2 cup at each meal# Not sure how many treats she had yesterday so that may have something to do with it# Her poops have been pretty good though, a little soft but formed# Do you think I should hold off on giving her THK as a topper at dinner? I was thinking that may make her more apt to eat# Ok enough rambling, here are the pictures! I swear she's bigger even from when we brought her home on Monday, and her ears are up completely now |

| That stinks about the vet, I'm on board with you though I don't let my vet do anything I'm uncomfortable with after the last time they practically forced Link's kennel cough vaccine on me. For the food, when I changed Link from a food he wasn't comfortable he went on strike and picked out the old food and refused to eat the new food. Yuki's always had an appetite so I never had a problem with her eating any brand of food but since shes young maybe wet the food to make it more appetizing, I'd only suggest that for younger puppies since once they're older they can hold it longer and you won't need to try to add stuff (which can create a picky eater) but for now keep an eye on her. Absolutely love her face, and the lupine collar looks great on her. I remember how excited I was waking up with Yuki in my home, and going 'oh my gosh she's really here!' after waiting those 4 weeks for her to come home! |

| I thought maybe it was the new food, but she left a mix of the old in too. Maybe she's just not that hungry?
I knew you would notice the Lupine! lol

| OMG, in these pics she looks JUST like Layla. You can totally tell they're sisters. So adorable!
In a way I'm glad to hear we're not alone as far as feeding goes. Huskies aren't the type of dog that will scarf down whatever you put in front of them, so I think that's part of it, along with the newness of everything. Sounds like it's not making her sick or anything, so I'd just watch it for now and see how it goes. I think if she is hungry enough, she will eat.
I'm also finding Layla sleeps most of the day, and from the looks of these photos, Caoimhe does, too. I didn't realize until I did some more research yesterday that puppies at this age need 18 to 20 hours of sleep a day! I notice we've been doing about a half-hour of playtime for every two hours of sleeping, and whenever she wakes up we take her out to pee.
So glad both our girls are doing so well in their new homes! |

| Liz, the food thing doesn't pertain to ALL huskies. Mishka would and sometimes does just eat anything you put in front of his face. Lol.
She is so cute! Glad things are going well with the crate and all. Sucks about the vet though. A lot of places require you to have bordetella though, so sometimes you can't get around that one. _________________ |

They do look a lot alike, I was thinking that when you posted FB pics yesterday! She does sleep a lot, she is right now. She's very active early in the morning (like 4 am). Are you registering Layla with AKC? I just sent in the microchip form, I just don't know if I'm that interested in spending the money to register her |

| Yeah, I'll probably register her just to make it official. It's not that big a deal since we won't be breeding her or anything, but I would like to have her registration and pedigree for her files. I'll probably get the cheaper of the two, the one that has only three generations on the pedigree. I still have to register the microchip, too. |
