Frigga and the Bayshore Mall..... Empty
PostSubject: Frigga and the Bayshore Mall.....   Frigga and the Bayshore Mall..... EmptyMon May 12, 2014 1:30 pm

Good Morning,

This was Frigga's first time walking around in our local mall.......

Petco is located at the mall. We go every Saturday and Sunday for an hour. So, she can play in the "Puppy Playtime" event there at Petco.

Playtime went great. But, she got her second wind the last 15 minutes. I knew she was not going to go home and sleep. Our daughter is studying for finals, which starts today. So, I was in charge of playtime. It went great. There was one other dog there and they played well. So, at the end I decided to take her in the mall for a walk around the perimeter on the inside.

We walked in and security stopped us. Now, we are taking her everywhere with us to get her used to crowds and listening to us with some distractions. She did great for being so young. Let me tell you, everyone there noticed her. Yes, again she was center of attention and LOVED it......

I put her in the sit position and allowed people to approach her. She stayed in the sit position until there was petting, then she was a wiggle worm. There was alot of stopping. She figured out that if the kids approached her, she could lick their face and taste whatever they ate. Since saying that, there was no kids with dirty faces after we left the mall. She licked every kids face she could. That even counts the toddlers. So, to say Frigga ended up with a sugar rush, is putting it lightly. I had one mother declare that she was a wolf and told her kids to stay away from Frigga. I made a point of correcting the woman and explaining the breed. Her kids were 3 and 5. Yes, Frigga cleaned their faces and the youngest let her gave a taste of his snow cone. After that, it was game on with kids with snow cones. The mother was suprised by how gentle she was at her age with the kids. After all that was said, she told me that her hubby and her were looking for a nice family dog for their kids. I recommended to research on this breed and get one from a reputable breeder. The cost will be high. Make sure this is what she wants. We were almost done with our lap, when a little hispanic male toddler (I would say 2) ran out of the store and came running to us. Frigga sat down and talked to him. This little guy was too darn cute for words. He came running up, while holding a bag of vanilla cream sandwich cookies and that made Frigga happy to see him. I sat down on the floor and this little guy sat down next to me, then proceeded to pet her. He was giggling and laughing, Frigga just talked more to him. His father came out of the store in a panic and saw him with us. He was much relieved that his son did not go too far. Frigga and the toddler said their goodbyes, the little guy slipped her a vanilla cookie ( I did not catch this). Before I realized what she was eating, it was just about gone. Frigga works quickly and with great stealth. I only saw the crumbs that fell out of her mouth.

Once I loaded her up in the car, I rolled down the window and let her stand there, as I drove home with her leash in my hand, with her head out of the car smelling the air. I leave her on the leash while there is a window open just in case she decided to try to jump out of the window. She saw people walking and decided to say Hello to everyone. I swear, she was trying to be like a siren as I drove. Have you ever noticed when this goes on, if the radio is going, your puppy tries to stay in tune with the song?? Everyone we passed on the first 5 blocks noticed and stopped to watch her go by. After that she was on the seat with my arm around her, falling asleep. That was the most quiet ride she ever did...

Let's just say: The rest of the night went peacefully.
