| Hey everyone! Just joined the forums yesterday, thought it'd be nice to start a scrapbook here of Ares and Mars! Here's Mars and his first coat blowing (at 11 months old). We must have brushed away more than 5 times this amount of hair in the past 10 days. Just bought a furminator, should be here in a couple days, hope it makes a difference lol! |

| Never never used one but I think members here have and don't think much of the furminator... cuts the coat or something. Try searching fur furminator.
On a positive note... looks like your guy tolerate grooming which is wonderful! |

| Agreed with Amy. While there are opinions on both sides about the Furminator, the general consensus is that it is not appropriate for double coated dogs. It does have a blade in it which can cut the guard hairs, which is not something you want. |

| Thanks for the advice, the furminator arrived and I don't seem to have too much problem with it. It has only removed the shedding inner coat of Mars. He's got this long frizzy guard coat, and very little of those hairs were found on the blade. Here they are chilling |
