| What is everyone's stance on Bully sticks? We are looking for natural products that wont hurt Lutsen's tummy. Mostly he just likes to chew on his Kong, even if there's no hidden treats inside! |

| Hey Greta, Bully sticks is one of a couple treats that I use. Miya does excellent on them, Sofie I let her have one and take away after munching for a certain amount of time. They must be quite rich, if Sofie eats a whole one, loose poop, has no affect on Miya. They do last a while, so worth getting. My go to treats are Bully sticks, natural Cow ears, and raw meaty bones. I do not buy much of anything else for them. Cow ears last the longest, high in protein and naturally have supplements for bones and joints. Look for cow ears that are a whitish cream color, no additives that way, just straight up ears, they are low in fat and I have never seen one made in China. Pig ears on the other hand have to really look hard for made in US, Canada, South America, they are very greasy and don't last that long. I also give them elk or moose split antlers, takes them days, unlike the above which takes minutes to hours to consume, sometimes weeks to get through. Get split antlers easier on teeth, stick to moose or elk, they are soft. I would not give deer antlers, way to hard on their teeth.
Hope that helps, it does give them some variety that are healthy. |

| Thank you for the tips Renee! This does help a lot! We looked into getting him bully sticks because our friend with a german short haired pointer swears by them. I haven't heard his pup having any poop issues with them but I have read that other dogs have experienced it so I will try to limit the amount of chewing Lutsen does on those. The cow ears sound like a great idea! Also...I've heard that cheap bully sticks smell heavily of urine...probably because of what they are made out of do the more expensive ones have less of an odor? Which brand do you use? |

| Greta, I order through Chewy.com, they carry a few different kinds. I think the last ones were barkworthies. You can get them with no smell, although I have never been bothered by them. Raw meaty bones for the win!! I swear by them, Miya's teeth at a little over 3 years old are white, I have never brushed her teeth. |

| good to know! I feel like I probably wouldn't mind it that much either considering when he chews on toys its because I'm getting ready for work and need him preoccupied (I swear he knows when its time for mom and dad to leave!) and when we are unwinding from a long walk or I'm doing the dishes. |

| Sofie has the need to lay up against me when I am cooking, ugh, not easy since she is now 45 pounds, lol. I tell her to go get her antler, then Miya thinks it is prime time to go steal the antler. It can be a circus side show here, lol. Chewy's is a great place to order from, legit and all, definitely worth looking at. |

| haha cooking is always a challenge isn't it!? Especially with two I'm sure! Lutsen is such a little beggar sometimes but it never gets him anywhere so I'm not sure what his angle is haha!
I will definitely check that site out! |
