| Jessica, glad you're settling in. I am really in awe of alpha's mask, it hasn't really fade much. He has such unique coloration. Can't wait to see more pics. |

| His body is fading a bit, but the mask right around his eyes has stayed really dark. He used to be almost all black and now he's got a lot of brownish grey fur. My sister actually just got a husky puppy and hers is like super fluffy. Like pomeranian level fluffy, but Alpha isn't like that at all. She paid a lot for her pup, which has me wondering what their fur is actually supposed to look like because I know Alpha was not well bred. Regardless, I am glad he isn't that fluffy! I suspect she will be brushing Isaac nonstop. I'll snap a photo of him next time they come by next to Alpha. |

| Jessica, the world of huskies is vast. Some, mainly the show lines will have a more plush coat. Some of the woolies, is impossible, have to brush almost daily, and the woolies are considered a fault in the breed. Then the racing lines have a shorter coat. My Miya has the short coat, and I swear she sheds like she is a wooly, so don't consider his coat bad..... |

| My Charley sheds an insane amount. I spend an hour vacuuming our couch today, and she doesn't have a double coat at all. I'm sort of dreading what the sofa will look like once Alpha starts to shed too. I think his coat is somewhere in the middle, not short but not long. |

| For what it is worth, our woolie husky (Lyra) actually doesn't shed like our normal coated husky (Myka). Myka has a very dense plush coat and her undercoat comes out in small clumps and she will leave quite a bit behind whenever she gets up from the rug. If you didn't want to brush her it would all come out on its own, although she would look pretty ragged during this phase. Lyra's undercoat on the other hand does not fall out readily. Her undercoat gets "stuck" in her woolie guard coat and she will mat up. Although her woolie coat makes her heavenly to pet and hug it really requires much more work than a normal husky coat. |

| Are Isaac and Alpha from the same litter, Jessica? I love Isaac's light colors and fluffy coat! I also love Alpha's unique coloring and his mask is pretty much identical to what my last boy husky had at his age, he also had the bi-eyes but opposite Alpha's.
Very cute pics. I know that "swollen" look from a sting very well, Mishka got stung last year in the face...it stayed swollen for I think 2 days! Hope Alpha feels better! |

| They aren't from the same litter, Isaac is actually a month younger than Alpha. My sister really liked Alpha so she went and got Isaac. He's definitely a sweet pup and the two of them really like to play. Isaac's coat has darkened a lot since she has gotten him and he is a lot fluffier than Alpha.
I love Alpha's coloring! His back has lightened up a lot but his mask has stayed dark.
His face is still pretty swollen; even with the Benadryl, I'm hoping it will go down tomorrow. He's eating and drinking just fine. |
