So today is Sierra's 15th Birthday. We are so lucky to have her with us these last 9yrs. She is my world and has a piece of my heart no one else will ever have.
I have a feeling this may be her last Birthday so we are going to make it fun. I have pup cakes i made last night for today and over the weekend we are just going to take her out for a slow walk in the mountains and stop for treats. seeing how much she has aged over the last year breaks my heart.  Senior pups are a lot of work but they still have so much love, i see it in her every day and i will make her happy till the end.

i thought i had some really great pics but the sun glare messed them up. i plan to get more over the next few days


She still has spunk to tell her brother to back off!

With all three of my huskies, there comes a point when I have said, "You can stop now- stay this age forever."
But that won't happen.

I wanted to tell you what a beautiful bunch of pictures on Facebook this morning...your birthday hike etc.but the post disappeared. At least the ability for me to comment. They were lovely, looks like you gave Miss Sierra a lovely birthday weekend.

Michael - I'm right there with you. Just realized Ami will be 6 this fall and Z'ev will be 9 in June...and I will be 67 which is damn closer to 70 than I care to contemplate! Bittersweet. One thing our dogs don't have to think about, they just are...

Anyway...happy birthday again little lady.

I had so much fun with her, she just melts my heart. Ken had to carry her to cross the streets because she was to slow to make the time.
we went to Golden and walked around, had lunch on the trail and stopped for ice cream on the way home.

aw, life is so good for that pretty girl. I have never wanted to snuggle a dog as much as I want to snuggle Sierra.
