Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| Spaghetti sauce on his neck - right from the pan, WITHOUT dragging it off the stove. We were 8 feet away... |

| Wow, that's talent for not pulling it off the stove. Or burning himself and learning a lesson. Counter surfing was my hardest challenge to break one of my dogs from doing. She used to be horrible about it. I see stains in your future. _________________ |

Counter Surfing! - I love it; wait... The stove - we're pretty vigilant about leaving things on the stove - early on we were watching TV and heard "clik click click....." - Kona had turned on a burner!!! Apparently we needed a reminder - fortunately it's just sauce stained fur... |

| Earlier this week, I was out back with Mishka and turned my back just long enough for her to pluck a bird out of the sky ...bird didn’t make it by the time I turned around she was already running with her “prize” into the house! Kohdi didn’t even know what happened til it was all over, he cane outside, looked around like “what did I miss?!” let out.a little huff and turned around to go lay back down and sleep, lol. Glad your pup only got a little stained fur. |

| Well, here is my Opposite story! I was running late for my doctor appointment and I ran out of the house leaving an open can of dogfood on the counter!! Came home and it was untouched. Amazing!
He is very cute with his spaghetti sauce neck collar though. :-) |

| Diablo is our counter surfer. If you can catch him before his front paws touch the counter and say ‘no’, he’ll stop. But...if you don’t catch him, good luck getting him down. We can’t leave anything intended on the stove, it gets put in the microwave or cold oven to keep him out of it...I’ve even had him grab cooking ground beef out of a pan without burning himself! |

| Leo would lick the edges of the counter and table, but when he wasn't looking we would take some watered down Tabasco sauce and put a little bit on the edges. it was also a good for keeping him away form plants when he was younger. |

Glad your pup only got a little stained fur. Kona grabbed a gopher without breaking stride during a walk once. I didn't catch him until he flipped it in the air. At least it was a 4:30 am walk and not a holiday weekend walk! |
