Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Hannibal’s Scrapbook Empty
PostSubject: Hannibal’s Scrapbook   Hannibal’s Scrapbook EmptySat Nov 09, 2019 3:12 pm

Sorry haven’t posted in awhile and decided it was time to make a scrapbook for my boy. I am at 7 months with my first rescue and husky. It has had mostly ups with a few days of feeling defeated. Overall he has been a wonderful addition to our pack. Hannibal has been busy socializing with humans and dogs. He can be trusted with majority of all different sizes of dogs. So happy to not have to worry about smaller breeds. He has been enjoying the dog park more and more. Only thing he complains about is other dogs mounting. His corrections are not to harsh but some owners do freak out when he growls. He is doing well walking beside street cats and ignoring them. He is learning to find attention from strangers is a good thing. He loves to walk my daughter to and from school. He has become a celebrity with the children and waits to greet them everyday. If he misses a day because of some school event I get greeted with questions and disappointments. He is learning to enjoy the ocean and playing in the sand with our golden. My golden and him always stayed near each other but around 6 months they started cuddling. He is slowly teaching my golden to play outside and not just inside. I can say I don’t appreciate it all the time especially when we are trying to go for a walk. He was a spectator for a dog surfing competition with many different breeds around. Everyday we try to find something new to experience and it seems to be never in short supply with my location thankfully. He went to the Fourth of July celebration, Iron Man competition, Native American cultural experience, car shows, farmers market, local stores, trick or treating, and so much more. The only issue still working on is destructive anxiety when he is alone. I hope with time he will feel confident and comfortable in our home. Never thought I would own a husky and so glad my family talked me into it.
