| I'm planning to get two 2009 model webmaster harness before the model run out of stock as there is a new 2012 model. The price is only $7 difference so it doesn't matter but the new model doesn't have black colour. I want black for both Titus (14 months old) and Lycan (2 months old). Are there much difference between the two model?
Titus girth is 28" and weighs 68lb. The medium size for the harness is 26" to 36". He is gonna fill out a little but I don't think he will he get to 36".

| Titus will fit in a medium just fine. Koda is about 50lbs and has to wear it on the smallest setting of a medium (a small fits better but the plate is too narrow and looks dumb if I get a small).
This is copy and pasted from when Riley went and got the news on the upgraded gear prior to it's release: New webmaster harness: locking straps to prevent slippage. Lower profile (more comfortable as well) handle. Buckles are more protected.
I'd find these features worth spending the extra $7 and compromising for gray over black. Extra security is always worth taking up with your dog. The gray is actually very nice and not that far off from black. I'd had the old one and I have the new one as well and I'd go with the newer version, even if it's a fed shades lighter than you'd prefer. |

| Frosti is a medium in Ruffwear items (59 lbs) and Chili (77 lbs but has been down to 69 lbs) is a large - I'd recommend the large, the entire harness area will be bigger and more comfortable for him. The medium backpack or harness looks ridiculous on Chili if we mistakenly put it on him. Sorry, no idea about the difference between the two models - I think someone posted about it here, though - it may have been RileyFlorence, do a search. |

| I guess it'd depend how wide your dog's chest is if they'd look okay with a medium. If he's borderline the two I'd go up. Koda is 26.5 and it's a little big and that causes it so slide a bit more up and down his torso.
It was Riley who posted it- I did a search and that's how I got that. He has a post with all the changes between the new and old from the recent change. |

Really? Storm uses the medium Palisades Pack and it fits him just fine (webmaster harness with detachable packs)....I think Storm (72 lbs) and Chili is about the same size and within 5 lbs of each other, no? |

Lower profile (more comfortable as well) handle. Buckles are more protected. I'll get a medium for Titus first. If it doesn't fit him well, Lycan can used it when he grow into that size in a few months time. He is a Mal close to 20lbs at 9 weeks old. Then upgrade it to the large size when he gets bigger. Colour wise, which one suits their coat colour. I wanted black previously because Titus have a red leash and red collar where Lycan has a blue set. Got them this leash without the carabiner for multi purpose use. I don't need the Palisades pack because we don't hike anymore. I have some problem with my knee cap which will gives pain for strenous walks. We only do walks/jogs and some ocassional bikking with the springer kit now |

| Absolutely get the new ones. They are a lot nicer. I'm actually looking to upgrade Appa's palisades pack just for the new features of both the harness and pack.
The new ones also have a very convenient tab that their Beacon (LED light) attaches to.
He currently wears a medium and I really like how it fits, I bought a large Omnijore and I think it's a hair too big for him at roughly 80-85lbs. His chest is in the top end of the medium and low end of the large and I much prefer how the medium fits. Ruffwear also suggests going down a size instead of up. It would take a pretty thick dog to need a large. |

| Chili looks like a linebacker - huuuuge shoulders, small butt. If a medium fits Appa, it should fit your dog! |

| I just measured the big red dog and he's 33"-ish on an empty stomach - these dogs get bigger after a meal. So he's in the top range for the medium so I imagine you need to test fit if you're at the top range of a size to see which feels better. For the big red dog, the large fits better over his broad chest. |
