| I can't go in ANY store, and not at least look at stuff to buy Lucian. Doesn't matter where I go, I browse the pet section. If I see something I know he'll like, and won't rip apart in a day I get it for him. I'm just as bad with my 3yr old daughter. As long as it's not really expensive, and we can afford it. |

Pippa absolutely loves tennis balls. She takes her time tearing them apart though and always starts by slowly scalping the ball of all of the fuzz. I like the Kong Air Dog tennis balls though. They last longer and she likes them better because they squeak. If you can handle the incessant squeaking I'd definitely recommend them. |

| I have limited my pet store goings to about once every 2 months for that reason I always end up spending waaayyy to much on toys and treats |

| We're the same way! Even if I'm at a store that doesn't have a pet section, I'll find something to bring home for Ava! She hardly ever picks out toys at petstores, but if she does, we have to get it. She absolutely loves the fish, birds, and pocket pets at the petstore, so we usually just go to torment them for a little bit and buy some treats.
Earlier this year, I attempted to write down every single cent that I spent on the dogs for the whole year. It was, uhm, scary. I only made it through about half the year and then I couldn't keep up with it anymore, but its amazing how much things added up so fast... |

| I don't want to even add up what I've spent on the animals for Christmas. I bought stuff for Lucian, my Dad's dog Snoopy, my in-laws dog Bear, and both my cats. Lucian got 4 toys, Snoopy got a collar, leash, and treats. Bear got tennis balls, and treats. I bought Sadie and Gypsy one of those holiday toy stockings, and a super scratcher. I was going to buy more, until I remembered hubby would kill me! Lol. |

| I went to a Thrift Shop and bought them a loveseat for in my bedroom, so that I could get some space in my bed at night... It is empty.. I have all 3 dogs on me in the bed right now. Fail. |

Fail. Ugh, why didnt I think of that?! I was thinking about buying a doggy sofa for shiva but was reluctant at the $120 price tag. Thrift store, duurrhhh good idea Sometimes I just feel downright dumb because I could be at any store and if it has a pet section I 99.8% of the time gear unknowingly towards it. Its a curse. I dont even need anything for her, but I gotta look and 80% of the time I buy something! Argh |

When my boys were infants I would do this with the baby section of all the stores I went into. Now that Freya is apart of our lives it's directly to the pet section. Always straight to the treats and toys. This may sound like a stupid question. But the terminology is different that over here. Is a Thrift store an opp shop? Or a second hand store? |

| Yes, a Thrift shop is a Second hand shop. AKA the dog blankets and towels store The local ones around here all know my housemate and I because we buy them out of comforters and towels every couple months, so that we don't care when the dogs destroy them. I got a loveseat for $7, which is less than a 6ft leash. Its ugly, but I threw a dog blanket on it, and BAM, instant luxury dog bed. Now if only they would use it.. |

| I had a training client today, but no traiining treats, so I went to petco for some.
...and then I saw the AKC collars, and how comfortable they looked. Alas, they didnt come in bright red, which is the only collar color I use for my black dogs.
Luckily, PetCo makes a knock-off that DOES come in bright red, and still has a higher quality buckle than typical flat collars. So I got my dogs some brand new collars.
I couldn't go down the treat aisles without picking the dogs out each a big bone, either.
Then I remembered I wanted to get tea tree oil shampoo and oatmeal shampoo.
..and my loveseat only sleeps two dogs, so we needed a dog bed..
...and then I was near the mall, which has an REI, and that justified buying carabiners for their reflective leashes. Which meant buying Mixie an REI pack (and myself a pair of brand new hiking boots with vibram soles, from Merrell)
After the training session, I stopped at Costco for Pizza, and walked out with 6 bags of dog food.
I have a feeling I'm going to regret this when I do my books this week, but after a couple days without my dogs, I was feeling pretty blue.
