Link is absolutely adorabel! Your description of how he plays with other pups, sounds just like Q. The very first time he was able to play at his first Puppy K class, he was immediately hesitant and a little scared. That lasted about two minutes. He was a heavy duty, mouthy play pal from that point on. By sending him to daycare two days a week he has learned how to play with other dogs, especially older dogs, and has learned from their cues when it is time to stop. That took time too though. At least a good 4-5 months. Now he's excellent at daycare. Never a bad thing to say about him from the staff. He's tough with us in other areas, but I'm so glad that he is so well socialized! Best of luck with Link. I can see how much you adore him!

I am totally loving this handsome little guy so far. His training is coming along superbly and he is getting better and better at puppy class and his play style. His biggest problem this week was overexcitement once we arrived and having to leave the bulding 4 time to get him to settle down and stop his yapping!

Ran into another Husky today at our neighborhood park.

And then this tiny Lhasa Apso came to join the fun. Link was chasing the Husky, while the Lhasa chased Link's leash and grabbed it, while Link actually pulled him along for the chase. Priceless!

Oddly enough, it snowed in Seattle today, and Link saw his first snow.

Couple of updates on Link, now 4 months old.

He's now 25 lbs and seems to have doubled his height in the past 2 weeks. We had to upgrade him to a M harness, increase the size of his collar, and remove the divider in his crate last week.

He got his rabies shot and his 3rd set of DLPP. Bloodwork for his neuter in about a month from now.

His intestines have been through a war but he's gotten through it just fine: roundworms, Giardia, and Coccidia......check. Silly pup licks the pavement and rain water way too much!!

He had a sprained tail for about 3 days from roughing it up with Korra in our back yard and now has a "sprained" (ambiguous soft tissue issue) right wrist. While walking on UW campus he decided that he could make it over a drainage grate in the sidewalk and, well, he failed. Silly pup. He was limping pretty badly yesterday but is now fine, it's hardly noticeable. Tough little friend he is

In general we figured out a way to get him to sleep in longer (thanks folks!), he absolutely loves water including swimming in lakes and taking baths, we are working on his impulse control around dogs because he want to greet them and play RIGHT NOW!!!!, he's walking great on leash, he couldn't care less about fetching, and we are so excited to start taking him for hikes this summer.

Still building up to establishing a gameplan for his citizen certifications so we can get him into some backpack therapy work later in his life. His puppy training at the Seattle Service Dog Academy is going really well.

My ultimate working dog dream for him is to have him with his backpack out to the rink at one of my hockey games and scoot around with me to collect the pucks after warm ups!!! What a happy human I will be then
