2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

So I thought husky's liked being outside in the winter time.  Well, not so much my boy. This is him hiding when I told him it's time to go outside.  Then he sits by the door at the top of the stairs until I've told him to go down the stairs. So he does but only down 2. Then I say it again. He finally makes his way down. Does his business then comes right back inside. He is better about it during the day though. Perhaps he's scared of the dark? lol

Melissa, you're contending with two things.  Puppies aren't able to control their body heat so well as an older dog, so they get cold quicker and obviously want to get back in where it's warm -- that' would be momma's den in the wild but your warm house is probably better from his viewpoint.
The other thing is simple acclimation, while our pups were originally bred in the cold north, as they've come south they have individually grown used to the warmer climes and less likely to enjoy the bitter cold that their g-g-g-g-grandparents were used to,

Since my home territory in around the 100° mark for much of the year, my pups don't want to have anything to do with the current 28° - Avalanche and Sasha will get out, do their thing and want right back in, Sky doesn't mind laying on the porch as long as it's after the sun has cleared the mountains - before that, nope, she wants right back in as well.

So, to me, yep its normal!

As a puppy, Zhukov was an in and out dog when it came to the snow.  1 year later, I can't get him to come back in from the snow.  He was out most of the night while it was snowing, and has been out almost all day today, playing in the snow.  He will come back in for about 10 minutes to warm up, but wants to go right back outside.  He is like my son was, Joe wouldn't come in until his fingers were about ready to snap off.

Tundra loves the snow and the cold. He go nuts expecially when we get a good snow fall. Jumping around in circles rolling around. It's so clear he loves it. We live in toronto but he came from a breeder 4 hours north of us it gets to minus 20 c (-4F) and he doesn't mind at all even on long walks. We have had a warmer year this year with not many cold day which has been a pain in the @** to deal with
