| Just wanted to give a little background on my pup and this seemed like the perfect place to do it! =)
Loki actually came to me as a stray. She was found wandering the neighborhood I live in with only a collar and no owner in sight. My roommate captured her, and after posting to our community's facebook page, we thought we had the rightful owner. Turns out we were wrong. He kept her chained up all day and night (I live in Florida mind you), while feeding her chicken bones, hard-boiled eggs and who knows what else. He also had an ad on Craigslist to sell her for $1,000. Thankfully, his next door neighbor privately messaged us to tell us this information, and we were able to get her back.
The next day we took her to the vet to check for a chip, which she didn't have. We then posted multiple times on other lost/found pages, but no one ever came forward. After a month of trying to find her rightful owner, I decided to keep her. (I've always wanted a husky!)
She is now chipped, up to date on shots, and will be getting spayed within the next month or two. The vet said she's about 7-8 months old. She's potty trained, and knows how to sit. We're working on stay, and lie down.
I realize that Loki is technically a boy name, but it just fit her too perfectly to pass up. =) As soon as I figure out how to post pictures on here, I'll add some more. |

| Welcome to the forum. You are lucky to be able to get her back after all that. Most wouldn't be able to once surrendering the dog to another person, right one or not. She's very pretty from what I can see in your avatar. Huskies are a lot of work but worth it. _________________ |

| Loki and Brutus. They're BFFs. This is also the perfect picture to showcase what owning (or just living with) a Dane is like. Lol Brutus is my roommate's dog, and there's always slobber somewhere in the house. |

| Yay! Pics! Nice job! Loki is beautiful!!! So glad she ended up back with you.
Ok, so once you feel comfortable uploading your pics, to eliminate having to start a new topic each time (and I did that too...for a longgggg time, lol) here is how to get your pics in one post. When you make your pic selection, it *should * allow you to make more than one selection, see if you can click on all the pics you want...if so, when they show up in the imgserv box, and you "send all" once they've uploaded, tap "insert all" and they should all show up in your text box in your post, you can either post as is, or you can hit "preview" and then when that box shows up, space or double space between pics if you want, or insert text. This takes longer, but if for some reason you can't choose more than one pic initially, upload your first pic, then hit preview and when that box shows up, select another pic, and so on, then when you're ready, just tap "post" |

| Aw, Loki's a good looking pup, Liz. Not so sure about the Dane, I have a problem with a dog that's bigger than I am! Drool, I have a cousin who raised St Bernards - as much as I liked her, I just couldn't visit - everything was either wet or just plain yucky! Glad you got the pictures working right and as you're finding, photobucket is a bit different than imgserv and since most of us <??> use imgserv we immediately jump there when offering suggestions. Take a look at this link for how to upload to photobucket and then insert the link into the forum. _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

Take a look at this link for how to upload to photobucket and then insert the link into the forum. Ugh, I DID assume it was imgserv, my bad, sorry about that Liz how could you tell it was photobucket, Al? Kohdi and Mishka's bff is a Great Dane! Black with a little bit of white. Unfortunately she is very very sick right now, is just skin and bones and the vets can't figure it out. She eats like 6 cups of food a day and loses weight. My friend is heartbroken she can't fix what's wrong but the vet is determined to figure it out. She's got plenty of energy, even got Kohdi to play with her last night, but she can't keep any weight on her. I use an iPad mini (wi-fi) that I think are pretty inexpensive. Once I figured out how to use it to upload pics, it's a breeze! (If I need the pics in a certain order though, I still have to use my laptop) just thought I'd mention it as an alternative to the possibly more expensive laptop. I use this thing for everything and it's never lacked for what I need it for. |

| On a windows device: If you're using FireFox - right click on the picture and select "View Image Info" On Chrome style browser - right click and select "Inspect". That gives the html around the url but it *does* highlight the url. With Edge, you're out of luck, no option for it that I can see. (Right click - select "Ask Cortona" that will display an abbreviated url, on the right hand option, select "view full sized" and the address bar will then contain the full url. Internet Explorer behaves like Chrome .... Anything else you need to know .....???? ETA: While it probably doesn't matter for most of us, we do have some (semi-)professional photographers among us who might want to consider deleting the "personal information" from the exif data. It's nice to know that you have the latest, greatest, most expensive camera in the world - but do you *really* want to advertise that? I've been criticized for asking where someone is located and in this day and age I understand people not wanting to disclose too much about themselves. But when you say that you're in Boise and that you have a $5,000 camera and presumably related equipment there are those (hopefully *not* among us) who would view that as an invitation. Common sense .... clean the files. On the other hand, if you're using your phone for pictures, does it really matter? _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

| "What are you eating?!" I feel like I ask that question at least ten times a day. -.- Loki is always getting into the litter boxes. I'm going to invest in one of those extended gates, just have to wait for the funds. (Story of my life lol)
Today I took her on an extended walk (I've been slacking with exercising her lately), and no joke, she ate 2 frogs and at least 3 bugs! Near the end of it, she was more focused on catching things than getting home. Lol |

| I was finally able to catch her with her mouth fully closed but her tongue sticking out. She does this all the time! Lol so stinking cute! Too bad I can't post a video of her when she has the zoomies, AKA crack mode as we call it. Haha That's what I have instagram for tho I guess. Next week she goes in for yet another booster shot. I'm starting to wonder if the vet is just trying to get money from me... lol Then, the week after she'll finally be spayed! I'm hoping that solves the problem of her marking inside the house. It's becoming more frequent, and I need to find a way to stop it. |
