I, at one time, had a black lab who couldn't decide on her name - I came up with a lot of ideas but she just ignored them.
I was visiting with a friend of mine who ran the local convenience store. After explaining what I was unsuccessfully trying to do, he looked at her and called her "Kalah", she looked up at him as if she was waiting for more ... So she became Kalah - and responded to it! Stupidity, Kalah is Hindi for 'black'.
With that explanation out of the way, Hindi for red is Laal. Guarantee that you won't find many, if any, reds with that name. That's going to sound like the first syllable of "lollipop" but the first vowel is stretched a bit.
