It's about time I introduce Dakota (and Faith) for those of you who don't know them. I apologize for the repeats for those who've seen them already, but there are a few new ones here too.

I'm just going to pick out a few of my favorites.

The online shelter pics that I fell in love with the moment I saw him.





The day we adopted him from the shelter in September of 2007.





The day after we adopted him...he was a skinny little thing.

Awww Val Dakota is such a gorgeous boy and he certainly landed on his feet living with you guys - he looks in such great condition and thoroughly spoilt . Faith is a little cutie too - does Dakota look out for her?

So glad you enjoyed the pics, he is one supremely spoilt husky. So much so that I've had to cut back on his treats b/c he's gained an extra 3 pounds that he shouldn't have. I'm struggling though, it's so hard to resist that cute face and his even cuter husky antics. He came to us from the shelter weighing 44 lbs, I weighed him a week ago and he was 58 lbs when he should be ideally at 55 lbs. Oops!

These two get along like two peas in a pod. Faith copies everything Dakota does, she's like his little shadow. And Dakota does look out for her and he also gently corrects her when she does something "wrong" which amazes me. I'm so proud of him, he even protects her from off lead dogs that come charging over. Is Dino like that with Ava, Cath?

LOL Yes Val According to 'Dino Law' the only one who is allowed to mess with Ava is him!

Dakota is one handsome boy and I would have fallen for those pictures as well! I love all the action shots you have. Where is the winter mountain one at?

We used to live in the Pacific Northwest, about 30 miles north of Seattle in Washington. That pic was taken at Hurricane Ridge. Sure was beautiful out there, I miss Washington in the worst way.

A few new pics to add. Hubby finally got his new flash for his camera (cost a pretty penny too!) and he was using the dogs for some practice shots with it. Got some pretty nice pics that I thought I'd share.










And I took these last two myself so the quality may not look as good as hubby's pics. These two dogs are such goof balls. Dakota and Faith each have their own beds and obviously the big bed is for Dakota and the little bed is for Faith...but try telling them that!

LOL That's exactly how Dakota got banned from our bed, he totally took it over.

I loved the picture or both Dakota and Faith on the same bed. These are great pictures, I think I am going to tell my hubby I want a new camera for Christmas so mine will turn out better.

Aww, that's one of my favorites. It's my siggy on most of the other forums I'm on but was too big for me to use on this one.

As some of you may know we went on a short vacation to Captiva Island, FL. It’s a beautiful, small tropical island in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Fort Myers, FL and we were fortunate enough to be able to bring the furkids along with us.

Relaxing on the screened in patio at the rental house. Hey, this is a vacation after all!


The house had a sand box and Dakota loved it! I think we need to get a sand box for a certain doggie.






Then we headed to the beach…

Cath, I love that pic! lol It does look like she's smiling at the camera. It was one of those perfect timing shots b/c she'd been panting and pulled her tongue back into her mouth just as hubby snapped the picture!

Oh and Dakota loved the sand so much I think I'm going to have to build him a sandbox once we settle down in a house!
