| Rosko is 13.5 kg (29.7 lbs) at 16 weeks today. So if it's true what so many says; that the best way to estimate their adult weight is to double their puppy weight at 4 months I'll be fine (within standard that is) |

| Django weighed in at 50.4 at 6 months. I didn't measure him. He is huge compared to Loki. Loki was 43 ~47 pounds at 6 months. |

I have a feeling Layla is going to end up on the smaller side like Winter. Last time she was at the vet at 4.5 months old she almost made 20 pounds (9kgs) but not quite. I suspect that now at 5 months she weighs more than 20 pounds, but she's been gaining relatively slowly, I think. I suspect by nine months she'll probably also be around 35 pounds. No problems eating, though! She can't get enough food. |

| Not a weight update but I do suspect Layla has broken the 20-pound mark by now ... Today I measured her at the withers for the first time. I think I did it right. She's at 18 inches. Still short but she's starting to look more like a grown-up husky every day. |

Still short but she's starting to look more like a grown-up husky every day. i think when i measured Samoa last week she was about 17 inches tall and i weighed her a few days ago and she is now 20.2 lbs! finally broke 20 lol it seems as though they will both be about the same size as adults. |

| Lilu is 8.5months old and weighs just over 60lbs. Is that a lot? She doesnt seem fat and the vet said shes fine, but sometimes she looks like shes got some junk in her trunk. Also I heard its very hard for huskies to lose weight so I dont want to get her overweight and then have a problem losing it. She is ALWAYS begging for food, but we try to ration the snacks as best we can. |

| Your pictures are not the best angles. The second one kind of makes me think a little over but it could just be her hair or the angle. I know Loki is really narrow from top but his hair is not that fluffy either. I like this chart if it helps any: EDIT: My vet always said my lab was good too. Until he lost 10lbs and said he is now excellent. |

| Well looking that that chart she is definitely in the ideal category definitely not in the overweight one because she does get smaller from midback to tail area. I will have to cut out some snacks though and start running her a bit more. Thanks for the info. |

She's very pretty! 60 pounds is a lot for a female. It's probably a combination of a larger bone structure and being slightly overweight. Have you considered raw feeding? I'll bet that will thin her out and reduce her begging. Anya is ~44 pounds @ 10.5 months. She's is raw fed so she's very lean--she's a 1 or 2 on the chart above. I don't agree that she is underfed. If I feed her any more than I do she gets diarrhea. |

| How much do you feed Anya daily? Dizzy is 47 lbs and I'm feeding between 1-1.25 lbs a day. I'd say on the chart, he's a 2, and I'm happy with his conditioning. |

I feed the about the same amount... usually around 1.25 lbs. I think a 2 on that chart should be closer to the "ideal" for working breeds. That chart is definitely misleading! |

| Looking at the chart, I actually kind of think all 3 of my dogs are 2. My lab was more like 3 but sense becoming a 2 I notice he is getting around better and his gas issues are gone. |

| Do you have this problem where you are?
Uninformed people think that all dogs should look like a 4 on that chart? They meet you and say oh your dog is so skinny.. While their's is actually overweight/obese and going to most likely die prematurely ...
We had a discussion about it at block course. |
