| @lostmaniac, you're going to have to help more than that. The last OC Raw recall notices I see were in 2018. I did find a very redacted FDA Warning Letter to OC Raw dated Feb 23, 2022. That's the first time I've even seen an FDA letter redacted as much as this one is. _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford |

| Yeah the letter was dated February released in march but yeah ive never seen something that redacted or vague. What i was able to pull was that the beef fish and poultry patties were a problem but from there i have no clue other then spider had e coli Thursday and i feed oc raw beef and they do specifically reference the beef harvesting. |

Vitamin D is an essential nutrient for dogs but high levels can cause health issues, depending on the length of exposure.

| Since I think some of our folks use the Omega-3 supplements, you might ant to looks at this one. It was a supplier to Stratford, so expect this to keep coming back for a while.
Stratford Care USA, Inc of Odessa, Florida is voluntarily recalling multiple brands of Omega-3 supplements due to potentially elevated levels of vitamin A.

| The U.S Food and Drug Administration has issued two Warning Letters in recent weeks. These are not recalls. Though based on the letters, I'm not sure I understand why they aren't.
The FDA sent a Warning Letter to Primal Pet Foods, Inc. of Fairfield, California, due to serious safety violations which led to the food being adulterated.

The second one is for cat food, I found the letter from the FDA interesting.
A Warning Letter has also been issued to Arrow Reliance Inc. of Tukwila, Washington, after Salmonella was found in unopened samples of Natural Selections Antibiotic & Grain-Free Chicken Recipe for Cats and Natural Selections Antibiotic & Grain-Free Turkey Recipe for Cats.
Arrow Reliance has also been warned about the use of peroxyacetic acid (PAA) in its pet food formulas. The FDA deems PAA to be an “unapproved/unsafe animal food additive”, however, Arrow Reliance says it uses the additive as a pathogen mitigation method to reduce the risk of E. coli and Salmonella in its raw pet food formulations.

| That is really disappointing. People expect more from Primal. They used to be my go-to on trips. I would take their patties along as mid hike food for the dogs because it was easy and balanced instead of just giving them treats to fuel through the long hikes. But I am finding more and more that you have to look out even in the high end brands. Orijen and Acana have really gone down hill since they moved to the states. Canada has higher production standards than the US so a move effectively let them drop their quality. _________________ |

| Canada has tighter production requirements than the US does, so when a company moves from Canada to the US you can about guarantee it's so they can cut costs in production through our more relaxed rules. _________________ |
