| A fe more pics to add. The first one is a few weeks old, but I just found it on my camera and it's too cute. The others are from this weekend. She's finally learning how to "leave it" with the cats. She and Ninja were just sort of staring at each other for a while. My new fashion accessory: We had a little impromptu play date with my friend's Brittany Spaniel when he needed a puppy sitter for a while today. Ghost and Misha are great friends and absolutely wore each other out. I think Ghost will sleep for the next 3 days _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. I'm really lucky that a lot of my really good friends at work have dogs, and we have a lot of doggie play dates. It's really helping Ghost to socialize properly. I had a get together a couple weeks ago and we wound up with 7 dogs in the house. It was a lot of fun and the dogs all got along great (except for Lulu who doesn't play well with others at all). _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | Went for a short hike today on a paved path near the house. Ghost really enjoyed it, and was totally wiped out afterwards. We got a movie with no interruptions tonight Ghost and Caesar on the path: Passed out afterwards, allowing us to cook a nice dinner: _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | It is. They look so much alike I've decided Aaron is a clone that's his parents dog Annie as well. She's a wire hair Jack Russell Terrorist. I call her that because her sole goal in life when they visit is to eat my cats. And yes, Ghost melts my heart every day. It doesn't matter if I've been gone an hour or 12, she always does that. _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | Like crazy, unless I've given her a stuffed kong or now with the Marrow bone. We had a wound check today, and they said it looks great but the cone needs to stay on til Monday. _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | We've been doing all sorts of things out and about with the dogs, and I've snapped a few pictures along the way. We went up to the little dog park on base this afternoon, but we had to take my car because it's the only one that has base stickers. Normally if I take Ghost in my car she rides shotgun (with the airbag off) because the back seat is so small, but we managed to stuff both dogs back there tonight. Poor Ghost just does not like my car, between the engine noise and cramped back seat: Aaron's car is another story entirely, and she just LOVES riding around with the windows down now that the weather is nicer: Finally, we had the opportunity to introduce Ghost to a baby last weekend. Obviously everything was closely supervised, and she did great! The baby was crawling all over and getting grabby, and Ghost just licked her fingers and her face a little. It was so cute! _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | We had tons of fun handing out candy tonight, and we even had another husky come trick or treating! It was a lot of fun letting them play for a few minutes, and Ghost was really excited to see another husky. Waiting for trick or treaters: Ghost helping me hand out candy. She was amazingly good with all the little kids: Ghost playing with the other husky. It's a crappy picture from my phone, and they were moving so fast I couldn't get a clear shot: _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword.
