PostSubject: Re: Titus killed a tiny poodle   Titus killed a tiny poodle - Page 5 EmptySun Oct 14, 2012 1:42 am

Went to see Titus this morning. They let me bring him out to do his toilets in the grassy area there. He finally pee since Wednesday night. He was trained to do his toilets outside. So even after a few days he won't mess his kennel. Is this gonna be bad for him? They can't bring him out yet as he is still frighten of them. I told the kennel assistants to put a muzzle on him and bring him out but they say no need for the muzzle, he is not vicious just frighten of the new surrounding. They will bring him out if he feel comfortable but they don't want to worsen his fears.

i have to say in a way this is a good thing. If he fails to thrive in a kenel enviornment then they have to let him stay on house arrest with you. At least that's how i see it.

I feel so bad for him, he doesn't understand any of it. How can they not take dogs outside to potty? How is that caring for them? Something so simple and yet he has to hold it, that can't be good for his organs. I really really hope they let him home soon, before permanent damage is done.
Can you do anything to speed up the process of getting him home sooner?

THat really doesnt sounmd good for his bladder adn especially his kidneys.
I understand not wanting to worsen his fears, but seriously, he needs to go to the bathroom, he cant be made to hold it until 10 am every norning. They have a responsibility to him and his health.

The first pee since Wednesday? What the hell are they doing with the animals in this kennel? If this will last for longer it can destroy his kidneys.

This is ridiculous! I can't believe they won't let you bring him home. They can clearly see he's not a vicious dog, so why treat him this way. They are punishing him like a human as if he knew what he did. I hope these people come to their senses soon and allow you to bring him home where he belongs.

Titus finally did his poo today. I'm gonna make sure I feed him at least 500grams of raw food everyday I see him.

They don't allowed him to be house arrest. According to the law, the dog have to be in the pound up till the court date. My solicitor manage to pull the court date nearer to 29th October instead of 27th November.

That's fantastic news that the court date was moved forward by a whole month! Only 2 weeks left, good job to your solicitor for that.

+1 to Val's comment. I keep checking in on your story. Not much to do that you haven't already been doing. Good on ya! Keep it up. I know Titus appreciates it!

I am so glad they moved it up, he would still be better off at home, but thank god they are letting you there everyday. At least you can see him and it helps him realize your not abandoning him there. Fingers and paws crossed and prayers being said here for your family.

Titus killed a tiny poodle - Page 5 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Titus killed a tiny poodle   Titus killed a tiny poodle - Page 5 EmptyMon Oct 15, 2012 7:25 pm

My solicitor only told me to get some reference from Titus previous trainer, pet store people and friends etc.

He's already telling me to arrange Titus flight to Malaysia. Does that mean he expect everything to be fine? Titus will go straight to Malaysia after the case because there is no point to build a dangerous dog enclosure here when we are leaving in a month. He knows my mum and my mum used to have German Shepherds so he is in good hands. Plus my mum is only 42 and highly active. She can walk him without a fuss.
My mum also told me that she found a really good training school by a spanish trainer for Titus. He suggest to put Titus on a basic protection training so he won't try to protect my belongings without command. That will put more control on him. It's not teaching him to attack or protect. The trainer said he will not be teaching him those, just teaching him to control his protective instinct. I think that's a good point considering Titus is that protective over my belongings.

I used to have a dog that was very dog (and strange people in our home) aggressive. We did protection training with him, and it worked really well. He would still be very alert and watchful, but he stopped going after anything. He was around 2 at the time, and he made it to 15 without biting anyone. Best of luck to you and Titus! I hope time passes quickly for him.

Just read through the whole story! That is terrible, I am so sorry for what you have had to go through. TItus is lucky to have you as an owner, the 29th is only a few days away! Good luck, I will be praying for both of you.
